Place Google Voice calls directly from Contacts on iPhone

? Google calls directly from Contacts on iPhone ? Thu, 6 August 2009 at 7:30 AM PDT ? Submitted by redfood ? It was

a lot of controversy over Google Voice and the iPhone . Here is an AppleScript that allows you to call Google directly from your iPhone contacts / Phone App.

The script works by using numbers to contacts in Address Book w? choose that your contact information? About Google Voice. The new number is Pr? Fix with your Google Voice number, your PIN and the number two. It w? Hlt in your voice, and Google makes the call to your contact.

The advantage of this method over GM applications such as Web or Mobile is that you do not need a data connection to a phone call, and you do not need the answer to the ring back. The disadvantage is that the waiting time f? R the breaks and the dial is a bit slow. Your address book is? Berladen with all the double numbers.

Here's the code. Replace YOUR_PIN_HERE and YOUR_GV_NUMBER_HERE with your Google voice and voice-PIN, respectivel (let the Anf? Hrungszeichen). Enter this in Script Editor f? Hren it from:
pin set to” YOUR_PIN_HERE ”
gvnum set to “YOUR_GV_NUMBER HERE”

tell application “Address Book”
? Recurrence in people with thePerson
? Set nums on the phones of thePerson
? Repeat with num in nums
?????? if (num label) contains? lt “GM”, then
???????? say thePerson
?????????? l? between num
???????? end tell
?????? else
???????? Set to gvPhone (label: “”, value: “”)
???????? Set Label gvPhone to “GM” and the (Label num)
???????? set value of gvPhone to gvnum & “,” Pin & & “2″, and the (value of num)
???????? say thePerson
?????????? new phone at the end of the phones with features gvPhone
???????? end tell
?????? End if
? end repeat
? end repeat
end tell

I have no problems, but you would like to make a backup copy of your Address Book before using this script. (This script is also l? Between any phone with text label GM is. So, if you have labels with this sequence, you should read the Pr? Fix in the code).
