iPhone SDK Detail Rumors: No Accessory Support, iTunes-Centric [Iphone Rumor]
iLounge says they have received an inside look at the IPhone SDK and came up with some interesting details, one of the limitation imposed on the developers that they not can use the dock connector to interface with accessories. That means that no third party GPS connector (or other similar devices). What supposedly will be accessible is the camera, Wi-Fi, and the “telephone”, which is a little more tolerant than we thought Apple would be.
As with iTunes, it seems that the iTunes Music Store will be a “hub” for application downloads. If you are a developer and want to charge for your app, you have a method to do that through the store. This, assuming that Apple has approved your app, because they are going to “act as a gatekeeper for all applications”, which means that if you make something risque or hack-ish, you run the risk must be rejected.
